I flew from Chicago to Calgary, Alberta on July 28.  Flight was 3.5 hours.  After a 2 hour layover, I flew from
Calgary to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory in 2.5 hours.  I drove to the start of the Dempster Highway the next
day, 500 kms.  From there, I drove about 750 km to Inuvik, Northwest Territory.  A short flight took me to
Aklavik, and a guide transported me up the Peel River and the Husky Channel to a seismic trail that runs
into the Richardson Mountains.  The hike to Bug Creek was about 4 miles.  Four days later, on Sunday,
August 7, I traveled back to Aklavik.  On Monday, I flew to Inuvik and began the return trip.

Back to Part I.
