The late winter and early spring of 2005 was very wet. I lived in Reno, Nevada, and made several trips to Death Valley National Park. I took many photographs of flowers with my Dimage 7, a then fancy camera. I did not record the locations, but these were from somewhere in the park. Incidentally, Vanessa cardui exploded a little later that spring, and thousands were seen every hour for a week or so in Reno.
